a month agoTried out Sharon K’s Cafe today and honestly left pretty disappointed. I’m usually pretty easy to please with small town cafes because I’d rather support local spots than chain restaurants, but this one missed the mark for us. The chicken fried steak tasted like a basic frozen patty, the mashed potatoes tasted straight out of a box, the corn tasted canned, and the gravy was basically flour and water with no flavor behind it. The burger was dry, the cheese sticks were overcooked, and overall the food just didn’t feel fresh or worth the wait. Service was rough too. At lunchtime there was only one server handling the whole place, which I understand isn’t always their fault, but it took 14 minutes just to get drinks and 31 minutes to get very basic food. Spent around $30 for two people and still had to stop at the gas station afterward because we were both still hungry. Hate leaving bad reviews on local places, but I can’t honestly say we’ll be stopping there again.

4 months agoNice place to eat breakfast or lunch. CASH ONLY. The cod special is great and so is the double bacon cheeseburger. Clean and well done for an out of the way cafe.

Edited 6 months agoHamburgers are frozen, very thin and tasteless. Waitress not very friendly for a small town. She was "just" doing her job. We won't be back.

6 months agoThis place is a great throw back Cafe style diner. They are cash only. I had the double cheeseburger and my girlfriend had the single The burgers were absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. The service was quick and polite. The atmosphere was clean and down home. The prices were very good. Both of us ate for about $15 a person with a drink. Overall I would definitely recommend and come back again in the future.

7 months agoNice little mom and pop cafe away from the Tourist Traps. Nothing fancy, just good home fixing in a residential setting. Friendly folks I would return.

7 months agoThis is a great little café. It is perfect for breakfast and coffee. The atmosphere is down home, with your locals having their meal, talking about the local sports teams, religion, and and how "so-n-so" is doing. We loved it here. Service is great as most home town small business are.

Edited 11 months agoVery clean, bathrooms too. . Everyone was friendly. Smelled great. Family freindly atmosphere. Great food selection. Prices and portions are great!
